Building on evaluation and basics, Volume 2 addresses complex chronic and acute respiratory conditions and the nuances of critical-care respiratory support. Topics include interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary vascular disorders, advanced COPD management, lung cancer approaches, and the multidisciplinary care of complex patients. Critical care chapters cover ARDS, mechanical ventilation strategies, weaning, extracorporeal support, and airway emergencies with evidence-based protocols and bedside algorithms. Emphasis on multidisciplinary pathways—rehabilitation, palliative care, and surgical intervention—helps clinicians plan long-term care. Each chapter connects pathophysiology to advanced diagnostics and therapeutic decision-making. A comprehensive reference for pulmonologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary respiratory teams.
